Hit Manasquan Reservoir on November 5, 2005, with fishing buddies Nicky and Rick. When I caught a largemouth very early on the same crankbait, in the same spot, at the same depth as I did at the same time last year, I thought they were on the same pattern and I hoped I'd have the same kind of day. (A few ounces under 14 pounds; Nicky has nicknamed it "The Miracle on Manasquan"!) But it wasn't to be; that was the only bite I had all day. The day ended with Nicky catching three, all on crankbaits. Rick got skunked; sorry, Rick.
The season is winding down... damn...
